Peter I onThe Air Soon...as 3Y0X Don't Miss Out!

Well, from what I can tell it looks like the Dxpedition will be on the air sometime around Feb 7.
It was cancelled last year maybe they will have better luck this time. They are set to land on Peter I on Feb 6 depending on the weather.
I just dug out my QSL card from the last expedition to Peter I and I had worked them on Feb. 14, 1994 so it has been a while since the Island has been active. Hopefully propagation will be as good this time. BTW that contact was on 10 meters.

I think they are in transit now, if so they will be using the callsign XR9A a special Chilean Antarctic callsign for the trip to and from Peter I. Their website is probably the best source of information.

They will be working all bands using SSB, CW and Digital.
